Letter from the President
Dear Members and Friends of the OCC,
This is to welcome you to take part in the activities, California-based and worldwide, of the Oxygen Club of California.
We have had a very stimulating Oxygen Club of California 2008 World Congress at Santa Barbara, March 12-15, 2008. At this major OCC activity, some of the challenging areas of contemporary biological and medical research were addressed: MICRONUTRIENTS, BRAIN HEALTH, ALPHA-LIPOIC ACID, THIOL REDOX SYSTEMS.
In addition, several OCC co-sponsored meetings will take place in different places around the world during 2008 and 2009.
You are cordially invited to actively join and participate in these meetings of fruitful scientific exchange, getting together with friends from all over the world and making new contacts at this ideal platform, the OCC.
Outlook: It is a pleasure to announce that the Board of Directors has appointed Chandan Sen as President-Elect, and we all can look forward to his moving OCC matters forward in a fashion exciting as ever, with the OCC 2010 Meeting as major target.
The scientific quality and the level of the meetings would not be possible without the generous support from various organizations, to which I extend sincere thanks and appreciation. It is a privilege for me to help shape the future of OCC during my term as President, and please feel free to contact me with any suggestions you might have.
One final important point: Young Scientists are most welcome to join in actively participating in OCC!
Helmut Sies
President, OCC
