Welcome to the OCC World Congress 2016 Website

Dear friends,

In the tradition of OCC meetings in California, we are pleased to invite you for the 2016 World Congress on 'Redox Medicine and Nutrition'. We will meet at the University of California at Davis on May 4 to 6. As in the previous World Congress two years ago, the Department of Nutrition will be the host.

We have developed a program covering active and promising areas of research: The selected speakers are prestigious scientists addressing how redox reactions are involved in health and disease. The program is planned for allowing space for short communications and poster presentations. Young and established researchers are especially encouraged for contributing to short communications and posters.

Prizes and awards will be given, constituting an important part of OCC congresses. Recognizing the outstanding science done by young scientists, several awards will be presented. Senior scientists will be selected for the Science and Humanity Award and the Health Sciences Prize) in recognition of their careers and contributions to an area of research that is key to the improvement of human quality of life. Furthermore the UC Davis campus is worth visiting to enjoy the vital student environment, and the mix of an extraordinary academic environment with beautiful green spaces, including a fantastic arboretum. This will also be an opportunity to enjoy the landscape and warmth people of California, the OCC home state.

Looking forward to seeing you in Davis in May.
