Fess Parker's DoubleTree Resort, Santa Barbara, California

The 2008 Oxygen Club of California World Congress will have an exciting PROGRAM addressing some of the most interesting and challenging areas of contemporary biological and medical research: MICRONUTRIENTS, BRAIN HEALTH, ALPHA-LIPOIC ACID, THIOL REDOX SYSTEMS.

KEYNOTE LECTURES will focus on:

-“Mechanisms for the delivery of metabolites and drugs across the blood-brain barrier”
William M. Pardridge (Los Angeles):

-“Grey matter(s)”
Bert Sakmann (Heidelberg)

SCIENTIFIC SESSIONS will include the following topics deliver by a roster of highly regarded scientists:

  • Flavonoids, polyphenols, cell signaling, and neuronal function
  • Choline, amino acids, metals, and lipophilic micronutrients in brain health and disease

  • Alpha-lipoic acid: clinical studies

The 2008 Oxygen Club of California World Congress activities will commence with a Keynote Lecture followed by a Welcome Reception on Wednesday evening March 12, 2008. Scientific sessions will take place Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, when the meeting closes at the end of the morning session. There will be poster presentation sessions on Thursday and Friday.
